Is the Valor Mortis Demo Still Available? Current Status Update

Valor Mortis Demo Availability

According to the developer’s September 4 announcement, the Steam demo was scheduled to go offline on September 8, 2026. As of October 8, the reviewed Steam announcements do not show a reopening. This does not establish whether a previously installed copy can still launch.

Players looking to experience the game should note that the demo was a specific, historical version of the project. It featured bespoke content for Chapters I and VII, which differed from the intended progression of the full game. For example, the character General Lothaire appeared at the end of Chapter I in the demo, whereas he is intended to appear at the end of Chapter II in the final release.

Full Game Release Information

Valor Mortis is a single-player first-person action Soulslike developed by One More Level. The full version of the game is scheduled for release on October 13, 2026.

The developers have described plans for improved tuning, optimization, and fixes compared to the previous demo. Because the demo and the full game are distinct, the routes, boss strategies, and gameplay values experienced in the demo do not necessarily reflect the final specifications or balance of the full release.
